When it comes to outfitting your trolley fleet, picking a powertrain is one of the most important aspects. It’s a decision that affects how your vehicles perform, how much they cost to run, and how well they’ll serve your riders over time. Here’s a quick breakdown to help  you figure out what fits your operation best.

Electric - Clean, quiet, and ideal for short, steady routes.

Great for: Cities, campuses, consistent loops, sustainability-focused operators

Electric trolley produce zero tailpipe emissions and offer a smooth, quiet ride. They’re great in areas where air quality and noise are a concern, and they’re eligible for grant programs in many states. Our all-electric models range from about 140-180+ miles, depending on durt level and route conditions.

✅ Lower emissions
✅ Grant-friendly
✅ Great for planned, repetitive service
⚠️ Needs charging setup
⚠️ Higher initial cost

Diesel - Long-range, heavy duty, and reliable

Great for: Longer routes, rural areas, operators without charging infrastructure

Diesel is a solid choice if you need range, durability, and predictable refueling. It’s widely supported and can handle long routes with ease, especially helpful for agencies not yet set up for electric.

✅ High range
✅ Quick refueling
✅ Reliable in tough conditions
⚠️ Higher emissions
⚠️ May face restrictions in some areas down the line

Gasoline - Flexible and easy to manage

Great for:  Lower-mileage fleets, private charters, resorts, and events

Gas-powered trolleys offer a simpler setup and are ideal for lighter use. They’re easy to maintain and cost effective up front - great for wedding shuttles, tour companies, or other short trip services.

✅ Lower upfront cost
✅ Easy fuel access
✅ Good for lighter-duty use
⚠️ Not built for long hauls
⚠️ Higher fuel cost over time
